1. Open Bloglines.com
in your browser
2. Click on Register at the top right-hand corner, see diagram 1

3. Create a new account with Bloglines. Fill in your
email address and create a password.
Before you hit Register, please read Bloglines Terms of Service
and Privacy Policy
4. Once you have registered, close the Bloglines window.
5. Open your email account (the one you used to register
with Bloglines)
6. You will receive an email from Bloglines Validation
asking you to confirm your new account.
Open the email and click on the link to confirm your account.
Bloglines will automatically open your account with a welcome screen
in a new browser window.
To subscribe to feeds using Bloglines Reader
7. Bloglines will offer you "Bloglines Quick
Picks" and "Today's most popular subscriptions".
If you are not interested in any of these feeds, then click
on the "Feeds" tab at the top left-hand side of your screen
8. You will see your feeds on the left-hand side panel

To subscribe to new feeds you can use
the Add option (see Diagram 2) or Search option (See
Diagram 3)

9. To use the Add option, click on Add.
You will need the address of the feed you wish to subscribe
to to enter it in the search box.
10. Open up another browser window. Go to the website
that you wish to subscribe to. Click on the RSS feed.
If you do not have a feed in mind, please see the
list that the library can recommend, please
look at them here.
10. Save the address of the feed in the address bar
of your browser, by copying it (you can select it with your mouse
and right cick your mouse to do this).
11. Go back to your Bloglines browser window. Paste
the address into search box. Hit the subscribe button.
11. Bloglines will ask you to confirm the correct
feed, see Diagram 4 for an example

8. Bloglines asks you to confirm some options before
it confirms your subscription to a feed.
(You may wish to have a private subscription which will hide your
subscription to this feed from other subscribers)
Confirm your subscription to this feed by hitting the Subscribe
button
9. You can now see your newly subscribed feed in
bold on the left-hand side of the screen, under the tab: Feeds.
