CINAHL (Cumulative index for Nursing & allied health literature)
CINAHL is the Cumulative Index for Nursing & Allied Health Literature and covers from 1981 to the present. It uses its own CINAHL subject headings® developed specifically for this database. CINAHL covers these subjects: nursing, biomedicine, health sciences librarianship, alternative/complementary medicine, consumer health and 17 allied health disciplines. CINAHL is available on the EBSCOHost platform from the Clinician'sHealth Channel for public hospital clinical staff at the RVEEH.

General Medical Databases
Bandolier Bandolier is an independent evidence- based health care journal published on the internet. It has been published monthly since 1994 by Oxford University Scientists. The paper version of Bandolier was discontinued in 2007, however the internet version is still active. All past issues are available full text and free online to search and read.

EMBASE

EMBASE is a biomedical bibliography database with a focus on drug and pharmaceutical research. EMBASE is updated daily and covers almost 5,000 active journals, of which nearly 2,000 are unique compared with MEDLINE. Each EMBASE record contains a full bibliographic citation, and over 80% of these citations have an abstract.
