National Knowledge Week for Diabetic Retinopathy

"Digital retinal screening programmes for the detection of diabetic retinopathy are currently being rolled out across the UK, to fulfill the diabetes NSF requirement that 80% of patients with diabetes will have been offered retinal screening by April 2006 and 100% by the end of 2007. The launch of the Diabetic Retinopathy National Knowledge Week provides an opportunity to present a comprehensive collection of up-to-date information that has been subject to rigorous selection criteria".

Overdue Penalties

The Library Advisory Committee has endorsed the implementation of penalties for overdue library items. It is designed to discourage long overdues and encourage a healthy circulation of library resources (e.g. Fines commence 2 weeks after the due date for books).
