NEW!

The library acquires resources mainly but not exclusively in the areas of Ophthalmology and Otorhinolaryngology. Resources that support training, professional development, quality of patient care and medical administration are also considered. To ensure that the library is meeting the information needs of its clients, suggestions are always welcomed. Please note that final selections for purchase will depend on collection development priorities (Collection Development Policy to be available online in August) available funding and relevancy of suggested resource.

Fill out the Suggest a Purchase form and help develop your library's collection.

Information Skills Training sessions

September 2005

Book online for the upcoming training sessions for PubMed, MIMS and Medline.

National Library of Medicine (NLM) Gateway

The National Library of Medicine in Bethesda, USA, has numerous online resources some of which are not known to library clients.

The NLM Gateway provides a user-friendly way to search Medline and NLM Databases. "It's broader in scope than PubMed as it goes beyond journal citations to include monographs, serials, AV materials of the NLM collection as well as contents of several other databases in a one-stop shopping search and retrieval".
(Miccioli, Gloria, 2005).

It searches its network of databases simultaneously.

To search across the collection of databases, enter a search in the search box.
