What is a RSS Reader?
An RSS reader is a program which collects and displays your RSS feeds in the one location. There are several kinds of RSS Readers available. Some are available through websites like Bloglines, Yahoo and MSN. Others are stand alone programs which you can download. For a comprehensive list of readers please browse here: http://www.dmoz.org/Computers/Software/Internet/Clients/WWW/Feed_Readers/.
How do I use RSS?
To use RSS technology, you will need to register with a RSS reader and then subscribe to the RSS feeds that you are interested in.
Click here for instructions on how to register with a RSS Reader and subscribe to a feed.
- RSS feeds are FREE to subscribe to
- Many RSS Readers are FREE to join or download
-
RSS feeds keep you informed with the changes and updates promptly
-
Saves time as all updates are in the same place, you don't spend time reading and rereading each one
-
It's easy to browse the feed, then follow the link to read the update further - searching is not required!
-
You choose the updates that come to your reader
-
RSS is not email and therefore your inbox is not filled with "spam"
- Once you register with a reader, it only takes a few minutes to subscribe to feeds
