RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication
or Rich Site Summary or RDF Site Summary.
RSS allows Internet Users to receive a list of news and headlines of
interest from web sites without having to repeatedly visit each one to
obtain the information. The list is called a RSS feed
and is collected and displayed by a RSS Reader.
How do I know what web sites have RSS feeds?
Many kinds of web sites will have RSS feeds. Usually web sites which
will update regularly, such as news headlines, online journal table
of contents, blog's and job searching. You can use RSS for both professional
and personal interests.
When you see these icons, you will know the web site has a RSS feed:

What is a RSS Reader?
An RSS reader is a program which collects and displays
your RSS feeds in the one location. There are several kinds of RSS Readers
available. Some are available through web sites like Bloglines, Yahoo
and MSN. Others are stand alone programs which you can download. For

How do I use RSS?
To use RSS technology, you will need to register with a RSS reader
and then subscribe to the RSS feeds that you are interested in.
