The Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital is the third oldest hospital
in Victoria and the only specialist eye and ear hospital in the southern
hemisphere.
This video traces the history of the hospital from after the Second
World War when it was in a rather run down state through the period
of growth and development including the creation of the University
departments of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology and other major building
works.
Dr Howsam outlines the development of The College.
Proceeds go to the Executive Council of Auxiliaries of The Royal
